Waking up on the final day of the festival was bittersweet. We were excited to see the final set of performers, but so bummed to face the real world the following day. An early Starbucks run was a must before the long day of festivaling, packing, and driving, so we visited the El Paseo Shopping district in Palm Desert for a hearty brunch and some window shopping. Then, we geared up for one more great day at the grounds!

SARAH (BOTTOM): URBAN OUTFITTERS SUNGLASSES, NASTY GAL TOP (ON SALE), ONE TEASPOON SHORTS, URBAN OUTFITTERS SNEAKERS, KAI LUXE MERMAID NECKLACE, HANDMADE RICHMOND NECKLACE
The hot and clear Day 3 (with no wind, yes!) called for comfortably cute sneaker ensembles. Emmy was dying to wear her white Vans that she painted for 4th of July last year, which she dressed up with a fringe bikini top and sheer kimono. Sarah rocked her own fringe festivalwear with dark cut-off shorts and brightly colored sneaks. The fringe looks even better when jumping, don’t ya think?
Who We Saw
It seems like we always start the day with a more mellow band, and Sunday was no different with a fun set from Frank Turner. If we were to describe his musical style, it would be a cross between Flogging Molly and Mumford & Sons, which sounds like a great musical pairing to us! We then danced away to the upbeat tunes of The 1975, and headed over to the Krewella tent. An EDM set during the daytime was definitely an interesting experience, since you’re not getting the full effect of the lights, but Krewella’s crazy talented girl duo made up for it. After Krewella, we made our way back outside to The Naked and Famous, whose dreamy melodies had us swaying. Our last performed of the night was Calvin Harris, and we wanted to have the best experience in the front (like, the VERY front), so we sat and held our seats for almost an hour. When he finally hit the stage, the music was so loud that our bodies were literally one with the beat. When he shot off fire and pyrotechnics, we could literally feel the heat on our faces. And then when the confetti shot out of the stage at the end, we were swimming in red hearts. It was loud and crazy, but in the best possible way. If you’re heading out to bands on Day 3, make sure to see Krewella, The Naked and Famous, and Calvin!
